Monday 13th June

This day saw our first tangle with a laundromat. It took a bloody long time to find one; at one point we stopped for a large sign saying 'All-day laundry!' only to find it was in fact a trophy shop. Naturally. We were then directed to a relatively high-class dry cleaners with a 1-day waiting time which was clearly very useful to us. Eventually we found one which only slightly overcharged us. Then an internet café whick gave out free crisps - win!! At length, we got back on the road to Savannah, one of the largest cities in Georgia and also one of the nicest. Had a lovely walk around searching for a guidebook - recommended restuarant which was definitely open and would have been deliciour had we eaten there. Which we did, obviously (it was shut down).
Further driving saw another case of epic win in the form of the decision to take smaller, less interstate-highway like roads. The scenery was stunning - good pictures all round, especially when the sunset was timed perfectly (with no fluke at all) with our crossing a bridge over a wide river. Awesomeness ensued. Come midnight we were checked in just outside Charleston, South Carolina.

HOD: Ed, for fixing Simon's inexplicably broken camera
DOD: Guy, for leaving the lid off the coolbox overnight (what a douche)
